The general conditions were perfect. The sun shone over Berlin for three days and gave the 16 U14 teams from a total of six countries – and of course us too – a perfect tournament weekend. Unfortunately, this was not always the case in recent years. We had several new challenges on the to-do list this year, the biggest of which was the new NPC Web App with live streams, live results and live tables, which was developed in only six weeks.

In light of the experience gained in the previous year, the number of participants was reduced from 24 to 16 teams, which led to more excitement. In keeping with tradition, the tournament was officially opened on Friday evening at the Intercontinental Hotel Berlin – the team hotel. The tournament itself took place on the Olympic grounds.

In close cooperation with Hertha BSC and Nike, we were responsible for the entire event, both in the run-up to the event in terms of organization and on-site implementation with our 18-member team.
